There's another few reasons why I might be a little quiet on my blog entries for a bit. Not only do I have Mass Effect and Alone in the Dark to complete but I'm also about 30 hours behind on Painting and Drawing coursework, due in in about 4 weeks (including this one.) Of course, this is apart from the fact that after going on and on (on all of two days) about turning these ramblings into something a little more comprehensive I've actually started writing a little something to be released.
I need names. As soon as I've completed individual chapters they'll be pasted all over one of my various blogs. My current chapter, and the first one I've actually started to write, is 'On the Topic of Teenagers.' Guess what it's about? Yes, it's about teenagers, well done! If you got it wrong please go and bang your head against a wall. Repeatedly. You don't deserve to be classed as human if you can't guess what something like 'On the Topic of Teenagers' might possibly be about.
I don't really like it for a title though. I start off talking about ageist discrimination against teenagers as a whole and then move on to how this affects me before I decide to stop playing around with the smaller fragments of fun and start talking about everything from how teenagers dress to how they act and think. The fact that I'm unqualified, in no position to talk about any of these things, and basically making it up as I go along has no effect whatsoever on how factual it's going to be.
This is where someone reads it and takes it literally. Then I'll be worried....
If you have any ideas for chapters to be stuffed into a book, or simply just want to proofread it for me, then please ask. I need proofreaders. I always do. You know how hard it is for me to proof read my own stuff? I get repeatedly distracted by lots and lots of small and smaller things. It get irritating occasionally. I simply cannot proofread my own work to the same critical standards to which I automatically proofread anything in front of me. Probably because my own writings are one of the few things which I mostly agree with and get closest to how I think.
You know how opposites are supposed to attract? Well my thinking is radically different to lots of other teenagers (not all.. there's some as wacky as I am. Charlotte... Dani... a few others..) and therefore I enjoy reading through their work (if it's alright) and correcting the right thing here and there. When I read my own work I hate it. It's too much like me. It's like having someone permamently agreeing with you and simply refusing to argue or provide any discussion. It's sort of gratifying at first, and then it just gets more and more irritating!
I'll write more tommorrow.
I've got a book to write!
